Self-Acknowledgement Hug™

First, wrap yourself by resting your hands on each opposite shoulder.

Hug yourself and smile widely. The smile releases brain chemicals that make you feel peaceful and relaxed.

Close your eyes, or if there is mirror, look at yourself in it.

Now say aloud to yourself:

I love you (and add your name)

We will always be together.

We will always be safe.

We will always be enough

Then, breathe, and smile.

You will feel very focused and relaxed. This is what happiness is: being at peace with yourself. This is the feeling you are seeking. Bask in the warmth as if you were in warm, yellow sunshine, and know that you already have what you were seeking, and can now focus on what you want, not what you need.

Bravo!

You are now in control of your ability to be happy – whenever you want to! If you can accept that you know what happiness feels like, and that you can create it anytime you want, then you are free. Now that you know what happiness feels like, you can now judge what you’re being told and sold from a new perspective: You already have what they’re trying to tell or sell you, and thus can make a reasoned decision . Wow, is it really this easy? Yes, but you have to create a sustainable practice.
