Write Your Way Out of Unproductive Thoughts

Happy Friday,

I’m excited about the upcoming Webinar on July 9.

In this week’s meeting, we worked on clearing mental clutter by identifying an image that made us feel safe. From that place of comfort, we used the Word of the Day Cluster to “place” our negative thoughts or worries into the surrounding circles.

This simple act of worrying on paper helped us see what was really bothering us. But it was the Self-Acknowledgment Hug that created the shift—offering a safe inner space where we could begin to let go of unproductive thought loops and move toward clarity and solutions.

In our next webinar, we begin a new series, Writing Through Uncertainty, and I’m excited to share a blog written on the topic by my assistant, Beth.

Please join me on July 9. I’ll be sharing a new technique that will help you to stay centered in the midst of all that we are going through.

Here’s to your success and peace of mind,

Professor Marilyn Horowitz

Writing Through Uncertainty

We’re all facing a world that feels increasingly unpredictable. Whether it’s global news, job pressures, creative challenges, health concerns, or financial strain, the weight of the unknown can feel overwhelming. This interactive webinar series offers a safe and supportive space to pause, breathe, and reconnect.

Using the Beyond Happiness Method—a blend of neuroscience, somatic practices, and guided story writing—you’ll learn how to shift from anxious reaction to calm and clarity.

This isn’t about pretending everything’s okay. It’s about discovering how to feel grounded and more secure, even when everything isn’t. Whether you’re a writer, a professional, or simply someone seeking peace in the middle of life’s storms, this webinar will give you practical tools to feel steady and strong, no matter what comes next.
